La Four's Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into La Four's Restaurant in the heart of Boerne, you immediately sense a warm invitation to slow down and savor moments shared across generations and plates. This neighborhood gem carries an easygoing rhythm—a place where the bustle of the day softens into comfortable chatter and the clink of glasses resonates with familiar camaraderie.
The atmosphere strikes a balance between lively and relaxed, welcoming families, longtime locals, and visitors curious about the rich flavors of Cajun cuisine nurtured by years of tradition. The space feels lived-in and genuine, a setting where crisp shrimp hush puppies might be passed around like old stories, and perfectly seasoned spices tease the air without overwhelming the senses.
At La Four's, the menu isn’t just a list of dishes but a narrative of place and palate. Whether it's a platter of grilled shrimp accented by a subtle kick or the slow-simmered red beans mingling with savory sausage, each bite carries a sense of homecoming. The casual family-friendly vibe encourages sharing—from the addictive deviled eggs topped with shrimp to the tender crawfish enchiladas—every choice fostering connection over each meal.
Drinks flow simply but thoughtfully here, with refreshing sweet or unsweetened tea complementing the bold spices—a quiet nod to Southern hospitality. Endings are just as heartfelt; beignets dusted with powdered sugar or a comforting scoop of vanilla ice cream dressed in caramel offer gentle sweetness after a lively meal.
La Four's is more than a dining spot; it’s a neighborhood anchor where comfort meets discovery. Guests find themselves returning not just for the food but for the way the setting invites them to settle in and savor the quiet joy that comes from genuine, unpretentious moments shared around the table.

First time eating here since they moved from Kerrville to Boerne. The Red Beans and Sausage were awesome. Perfect spice. The hush puppies are a must.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick bite before our holiday stroll. Initially, I was apprehensive—judging a book by its cover—but I ended up pleasantly surprised. While Cajun food isn’t usually my favorite, I can never say no to alligator. I ordered the fried alligator, which came with beans, fries, and hushpuppies. The alligator was lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned. The beans were a bit flavorless, and I was hoping for cocktail sauce, but overall I was pleased with my meal. My boyfriend ordered the Cane River Combo. He said the fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the Creole sauce was delicious, though a little heavy on the sauce. The service was excellent—our waiter was very friendly and helpful with the menu, and every staff member we met was welcoming. We’ll definitely stop by again. My boyfriend plans to try a different dish, but I’ll be coming back for the alligator.

I ordered the flounder to go. It was perfectly grilled with wonderful tomatoes and onions, sautéed along with a great sauce. I actually had beans instead of rice and I thought that that was a great way to get some more protein in. The food was excellent!

Ordered from LaFour's Seafood via DoorDash, and it was a 5-star experience! The shrimp and grits were creamy and flavorful, with perfectly cooked shrimp. The catfish po' boy sandwich had crispy, tender catfish with a perfect toasted roll. The crab jalapeno appetizer was a perfect balance of spicy and sweet, and the kids' catfish meal was delicious and well-portioned. Everything arrived fresh and hot, even through delivery. Highly recommend LaFour's for a satisfying seafood meal at home! We can't wait to dine in next.

Update 7 months after original post: Same party on a weekday. Food and atmosphere remains excellent and the attention to our drinks during the meal improved, so we'll average the two visits for service. Original post: Overall a nice experience and we will be back. Party of 5 on a weekday. No wait with the seating about half full. Drink orders were taken right away. Five different main dishes were delivered in less than 10 minutes from ordering. Catfish, Fried Shrimp, Shrimp/Grits, Crawfish Enchilada, Alligator was excellent. Fries were standard and the beans were standard with nothing noteworthy about them, but they tasted OK. Hush puppies are nice and have a slight spicy kick to them. Service was friendly, but nobody came to check on our drinks the entire time we were there until after we were done eating when another server had come to pick up our plates. We also had to ask for the bill instead of someone coming to check on us. A little more attention by the serving staff would be helpful. Like several places in the Boerne area, you pay at the register on your way out.

La Four’s reminds me of Acadiana Cafe in San Antonio. The food is very good. The shrimp and crawfish etouffe is my favorite. The crab cakes are amazing.

My family and I had a wonderful experience. This was our first time and the food was DELICIOUS! I had the fish with buttery mash, baby boy had some mash, my daughter had shrimp and fries, my husband had a steak and he has rated the steak as the #1 over cheddars, over longhorn steakhouse, over Chili's etc. He absolutely loved it! Chef, great job! The service was awesome, friendly and very welcoming! Thank you all!
